Stuff I'm Involved in Happening Soon!

A couple of chances to see what kind of comedy related things I've been up to:

Tomorrow you should come see me perform at Improv Boston in two shows, one at 7:30pm in the Studio called Benjamin Franklin: Dinosaur Hunter presented by Benzene Ring. Technically LumberKnight, a play about a Canadian Superhero, will be at 7:30pm, but you should watch it because it was written by my good friend, Christopher Osborn, whose witty banter inspires many of my comics. Ben Franklin will follow immediately after LumberKnight. The second show I will be participating in will be at 10pm on the Main Stage called "It's Not Perfect," a collection of my animations. In addition, my animations will be playing throughout the Geek Week Festival between shows... I think, so check out the Geek Week Festival here for more info.

If you happen to be in the Worcester area on Friday I'll be performing with Benzene Ring once again in another episode of Ben Franklin at WPI's Comedy Scene Investigation, sometime around 8pm in Alden Hall. The night starts at 7pm, so come early to see other comedy shows. Then on Saturday night of the same festival at 7pm, I'll be digitally performing in Kittens of Comedy sketches, including a brand new animation I've made for them.

EJ Comic 151: Piano Pining

It is a well-documented fact that all animals are sad. It is my job to shed some light on the reasons why animals are so sad.

This is the natural progression from yesterday's comic. I like having one comic inspire the next one.

Come see my animations at Improv Boston!

I just wanted to let you all know that I will be showing off my animations during Improv Boston's Geek Week Comedy Festival. My slot will be on Thursday, April 29th at 10pm. I would expect to see some old favorites as well as a couple NEVER BEFORE SEEN CARTOONS! It should be a blast, and make sure you check out the rest of the festival, as it should be filled with nerdy goodness. I wouldn't be opposed to hanging out and getting some drinks afterward, so let me know if you are coming!

Day 1 of 365 of iPad Blogging Challenge.

The iPad Blogging Challenge

This is something I have been thinking about doing since the iPad was announced, so it brings me great pleasure to announce that I will be taking the iPad Blogging Challenge! Yes, I will be doing a cliche 365 day blogging project with arbitrary rules to follow so that I can force myself to have consistent content updates. How can you lose? You can't! Here are the pointless rules for this challenge I've made up:

1) Starting with my next blog post, I must post once a day using only the iPad and its Apps purchased from the iTunes store.

2) All content in the post MUST be created on the iPad.

3) Each post must be at least 1000 words (A picture is worth a thousand words).

4) If I have created a video, animation, or anything not on the iPad, I can post it if I also make an iPad post in addition to the non-iPad created content post.

5) If for some reason I am unable to post on a given day, I have to make an additional post the next day to make up for it.

This is a personal challenge to myself, and not an extremely difficult one. It is just to test my discipline and explore and push the boundaries of this "magical and revolutionary product." What should you expect? I would think a majority of the posts are going to be EJ Comic posts, but I assume this experiment will go beyond just simple black and white scribble comics. I CAN ONLY ASSUME!

So it begins.

EJ Comic 136: Padded

different,mustaches,iPad,excellent,quite

Deals have been made, and I now possess an iPad. In my hands is a tool of great power and I wish to use it only for good... and silly drawings. Expect interesting things in the future, as I have great plans for this little guy. I don't have to tell you I made this post and drawings on my iPad.

I also let my good friend from Bubblegum Heroes review the iPad. Here's what he had to say:

nippy,Bubblegum,heroes,iPad

I would have to agree!
